Move in Phases with a “Mini Move”

I love the concept of a “mini move”. A “mini move” really means a move that happens in phases or stages. A “mini move” could be where you take certain contents from your house to a child, family members, or friend’s house, a consignment store, or a storage unit. A move doesn’t have to happen where you rip off the Band Aid off all at once, and it doesn’t have to be back-to-back. You can do it in phases!

Sometimes, a “mini move” will require items being moved into storage. During the first phase of a “mini move”, we try to really think about the items that a client DOESN’T need to have to live on a daily basis and get those out of the home first. What is left over is the structure and contents of what is necessary within the home. This first phase could happen months ahead of the actual move or the week before. There are lots of ways to strategize and make an impact with a mini move!
